Medford board approves Lincoln Road infill, splits 4-2 over disputed rezoning setback. The Community Development Board, chaired by Doug Carr, voted 6-0 to grant Samuel and Beverly D'Agostino a special permit for a second single-family home on their 13,277-square-foot Lincoln Road lot, with conditions requiring a landscape plan and a rebuilt sidewalk. The board then split 4-2 over whether it actually approved a 60-foot no-incentive-height zone near North Street in the pending Boston Avenue rezoning, with member Sean Began saying he was "kind of shocked" to see the figure in the draft text and Senior Planner Danielle calling a taller alternative "incredibly inappropriate." The board voted 6-0 to send the full Boston Avenue Neighborhood Corridor District package, including new special-permit rules for purpose-built student housing near Tufts University, to the City Council for its September 15 meeting, attaching a note that members hold two different interpretations of what they agreed to in June.
