The following is a compilation of incidents and arrests recorded in the Medford Police Department's official public log for the period August 31–September 6, 2026. All persons listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Domestic violence incidents, sexual assaults, and juvenile matters are excluded per Massachusetts law (G.L. c. 41, section 98F).
Monday, August 31, 2026 — Arrest: Drug possession charges on Otis Street. Michael Grande, 42, of Medford, was charged with possession of a Class A controlled substance, possession of a Class B controlled substance, and possession of a Class C controlled substance.
Monday, August 31, 2026 — Arrest: Motor vehicle stop on Lake Avenue. Everton M. Barbosa, 33, of Woburn, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
Wednesday, September 2, 2026 — Arrest: Resisting arrest and assault on Yale Street. James M. Valente, 73, of Medford, was charged with resisting arrest and assault with a dangerous weapon.
Friday, September 4, 2026 — Arrest: Alcohol and marijuana furnishing charges. Ethan Berlin, 27, of North Reading, was charged with unlawful furnishing of marijuana to a person under age and procuring liquor for a person under 21.
