Medford to hold virtual meeting on waste collection update
Medford will hold a virtual public meeting Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. to update residents on its waste collection system and gather feedback on future trash, recycling and composting services.
The Town of Medford announced Nov. 2 that it will host a virtual public meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 6 p.m. to update residents on the city's waste collection system and collect feedback on the future of trash, recycling and composting services.
City staff will present research gathered since the last community input sessions on waste collection and disposal, including which collection options rose to the top. After the presentation, residents can ask questions and offer feedback directly to staff. The city said community input will help shape its plan for future waste collection services and inform program improvements.
The meeting will be held online only, through the Zoom meeting link.
Residents who cannot attend can view the meeting afterward on the city website and through community media, and can submit feedback by emailing waste@medford-ma.gov. The city said it will also share written updates on waste operations following the meeting.
