City Council · Meeting of August 5, 2026

Medford council committee finalizes newsletter, plots ward meetings through December. Four members, Councilors Callahan, Lennon, Singh and Scott, reviewed a draft council newsletter and voted 4-0 to adjourn after a light agenda. The draft newsletter highlights that "approximately 125 tons of asphalt was poured for pothole repair on 23 streets throughout Medford" in June, a line one member called worth keeping "for the audience that wants to know about" road work.

Locations are confirmed for neighborhood ward meetings running through year's end, kicking off in mid-September with Councilor Singh co-hosting; Councilor Callahan takes October and a councilor identified as Scarpelli joins the presiding councilor in December. Members are still recruiting a volunteer to monitor Zoom questions during the hybrid sessions, and a proposed noise ordinance, left off Wednesday's agenda for lack of notice, is expected at the committee's mid-September meeting.
