The following is a compilation of incidents and arrests recorded in the Medford Police Department's official public log for the period August 31, 2026. All persons listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Domestic violence incidents, sexual assaults, and juvenile matters are excluded per Massachusetts law (G.L. c. 41, section 98F).


Monday, August 31, 3:51 a.m.Arrest: An officer responded to the Daily Mart, on the 200 block of Spring Street. Michael Grande, 42, of Medford, was charged with possession of a Class A controlled substance, possession of a Class B controlled substance, and possession of a Class C controlled substance (G.L. c. 94C, §34).

Monday, August 31, 6:24 a.m.Motor Vehicle Accident: A crash was reported at 2501 Mystic Valley Parkway; no officer response was required.

Monday, August 31, 6:41 a.m.Medical Emergency: A medical emergency at Glen Ridge Nursing Home, Murray Street; the patient was transported to a hospital.

Monday, August 31, 8:19 a.m.Motor Vehicle Accident: A crash at the intersection of Main Street and South Street; an accident report is due.

Monday, August 31, 9:49 a.m.Larceny, Motor Vehicle: A motor vehicle larceny was reported at The Establishment, on the 100 block of Rivers Edge Drive; a report was taken.

Monday, August 31, 10:10 a.m.Motor Vehicle Accident (Past): A previously occurring crash was reported at the 70 block of Winchester Street; an accident report is due.

Monday, August 31, 11:05 a.m.Search Warrant: A search warrant was executed at Medford Police Department headquarters, 100 Main Street.

Monday, August 31, 11:27 a.m.Medical Emergency: A medical emergency on the 50 block of Hillsboro Road; the patient was transported to a hospital.

Monday, August 31, 11:43 a.m.Assist: Officers responded to the 100 block of Middlesex Avenue; a report was taken.

Monday, August 31, 12:48 p.m.Disturbance: Officers responded to Hastings Park, Allston Street; the call was serviced.

Monday, August 31, 1:08 p.m.Disturbance: Officers responded to the 3900 block of Mystic Valley Parkway; a report was taken.

Monday, August 31, 1:24 p.m.Medical Emergency: A medical emergency at Hastings Park, Allston Street; the patient refused treatment.

Monday, August 31, 2:22 p.m.Larceny, Motor Vehicle: A motor vehicle larceny was reported on the 80 block of Orchard Street; a report was taken.

Monday, August 31, 3:37 p.m.Medical Emergency: A medical emergency on the 50 block of Cherry Street; the patient was transported to a hospital.

Monday, August 31, 4:36 p.m.Arrest: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on the 100 block of Playstead Road. Everton M. Barbosa, 33, of Woburn, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (G.L. c. 90, §23).

Monday, August 31, 6:44 p.m.Wire Down: A downed wire was reported on the 60 block of Washington Street; the call was serviced.

Monday, August 31, 7:01 p.m.Motor Vehicle Stop: A motor vehicle was stopped at the intersection of College Avenue and Pearl Street; a citation was issued.

Monday, August 31, 7:59 p.m.Disturbance: Officers responded to the 20 block of Myrtle Street; the call was serviced.

Monday, August 31, 9:46 p.m.Motor Vehicle Stop: A motor vehicle was stopped at the intersection of Boston Avenue and College Avenue; a report was taken.

Monday, August 31, 10:03 p.m.Breaking and Entering: A breaking and entering was reported on the 100 block of Forest Street; the call was serviced.

Monday, August 31, 10:33 p.m.Welfare Check: A welfare check was conducted at 7-Eleven, Main Street; the call was serviced.

Monday, August 31, 10:42 p.m.Unwanted Person: Officers responded to the 70 block of Wyman Street; the call was serviced.

Monday, August 31, 11:00 p.m.Welfare Check: A welfare check was conducted at Boston Tattoo Company, Fellsway Street; the call was serviced.

Monday, August 31, 11:33 p.m.Arrest: Officers responded to a disturbance on the second floor of a residence on the 10 block of Fulton Street. Arrestee information was not included in the official log; see editor flag below.

Monday, August 31, 11:41 p.m.Explosion Report: An explosion was reported on the 40 block of Warren Street; the call was serviced.
