Medford panel approves three liquor license transfers unanimously

Liquor License Commission Meetings · Meeting of June 24, 2026

Medford Liquor License Commission approves three ownership transfers, refers a noise complaint to the law department. Commissioners unanimously cleared Chandricka Corporation's purchase of Heritage Liquors, financed by a $240,000 Rockland Trust promissory note, and approved Snappy Paddy's $625,000 sale to new owners renaming it Rory O'Connor's, contingent on four paperwork fixes. Rasso's Grill also won approval for a transfer and a six-device entertainment license.

A real estate agent, identified only as Bob, told the commission noise from a neighboring bar's live entertainment "goes through the walls" of his office, saying it has left the space "pretty useless"; commissioners forwarded his complaint and a police report to the city law department rather than act directly. The panel declined to adopt a state-authorized one-hour late-night alcohol extension broadly, opting for case-by-case review through its July 31 expiration, and warned Asian Taste it has one week to resolve a common victualer license lapse or face suspension.
