Medford home sales mix arm's-length deals with family trust transfers in September

The South Middlesex Registry of Deeds recorded 16 Medford property transfers between Sept. 18 and Oct. 17, but only six carried a posted sale price, ranging from $587,000 to $990,000 with a median of $755,000.

The South Middlesex Registry of Deeds recorded 16 Medford property transfers between Sept. 18 and Oct. 17, but only six carried a posted sale price, ranging from $587,000 to $990,000 with a median of $755,000. The top transaction was a condominium at 28 Pitcher Ave, Unit 2, which sold for $990,000 on Sept. 22. Winthrop Street saw two sales during the period. Most of the 10 transfers without a recorded price appear to be transfers among family members or into trusts, a pattern distinct from open-market sales, while the remaining priced sales included a mix of condominiums and single-family properties.
