Medford Conservation Commission Cancels Hearing After Failing to Reach Quorum

MEDFORD — August 2, 2023 — Medford Conservation Commission adjourns without business after quorum failure at August 2 meeting. The commission, meeting remotely via Zoom, had only one member present and could not conduct the formal public hearing on a Notice of Intent filed by Mill Creek Residential Trust for a residential redevelopment at 4000 Mystic Valley Parkway — DEP File Number 215-0233. The proposal includes two new residential buildings, new stormwater infrastructure, and demolition of an existing commercial structure on a site partly within the 100-foot buffer zone to bordering vegetated wetlands. The single member present opened and immediately continued the hearing to August 16, 2023, voting 1-0 on the procedural motion. The member noted that the commission expects to appoint a new member within days and anticipated a full quorum would be available for the rescheduled hearing.
