Hormel Stadium and Athletic Commission · Meeting of October 14, 2026

MEDFORD — The Hormel Stadium and Athletic Commission reviewed a $1 million turf replacement project and corrected its August 12 minutes. Staff member Kevin told the commission the Medford City Council already approved the $1 million budget and said he is pursuing Galen Associates, the firm that built Hormel's original turf more than 13 years ago, to assess drainage and write bid specifications. Kevin is targeting a July construction window, saying "it's certainly not going to affect youth sports" or the athletic department, though it would affect some private renters.

The commission also noted its largest private renter, SSC, is expected to post over $20,000 in rental fees by the end of October, closing a current account deficit caused by funds not rolling over from the prior year. Members unanimously approved the amended August 12 minutes and the finance report, and rescheduled their November meeting to November 4 because the usual second Wednesday falls on Veterans Day.
